This allows a person to effectively combat cold and flu viruses much more quickly than would normally be possible. This fruit is also well known for its high levels of vitamin E and beta carotene. These nutrients are vital in the reduction of swelling and inflammation throughout the body which may also reduce the occurrence of breathing issues such as those connected with asthma.
Antioxidants are also a known necessity for fighting off illness and apples and cranberries are full of antioxidants. Apples also contain flavonoids which also aid in lowering the risk of cancer and heart related issues.
Another well known fruit that is high in Vitamin C content is the grapefruit. This fruit also has powerful weight loss and cholesterol reduction capabilities as well. Some grapefruits such as the red variety also contain lycopene which has the added ability to combat some cancers.
B6 is a vitamin that has many abilities including being able to improve such common occurrences as depression, stress levels, insomnia and fatigue. Bananas are a good source of this vitamin as well as potassium which makes leg cramps less common as well as reduces blood pressure levels.
When you look at the many benefits of different fruits one question that most likely comes to mind is why you don’t eat more of these nutrient filled foods. Now that you know how extremely beneficial these fruits can be there is no reason not to increase your intake of these foods.
